		<description><![CDATA[The problem with Xenu and the other link checkers is that they will not work on a file of MARC records. One option is to use the free tool from Tom Tyler, MarcXGen. It turns a MARC file into an HTML page that can then be checked by the link checkers you mentioned. http://tinyurl.com/2odo4m

Another link checker I find very useful is the Firefox plugin from OCLC, Link Evaluator.
