		<description><![CDATA[In one respect, Facebook is applicable to information literacy and critical thinking of students the same way that e-mail is:  it isn&#039;t, except it&#039;s how you get the message about information literacy and critical thinking TO the students.  

In another respect, because Facebook allows apps such as the ones described in this article, it allows students to customize their own portals to library content. And that is something we want to encourage.]]></description>
